Emmylou is a lover, wanting to always be as close to you as possible. If you adopt her, you will have a shadow cat and a friend for life! Emmylou likes dogs but she likes her space. She has designated about 2 feet around her that other cats can't lay in while she's sleeping. But she likes being around other cats and plays with them.

Emmylou loves to play all the time, she likes strings, mice and anything that makes a crumble sound. You can wad up paper and throw it all day and she will bring it back and have you throw it again.

Akela is a very special boy. We've saved his life a couple of times now. Because he's still feral, perhaps we should have put him on the "special needs" pages. But we are hoping that someone will see him and his cute little white toes here on the main pages and decide to give him a chance. He will NOT hurt a person or another cat, no matter what anyone does to him. He is absolutely passive. But he really doesn't want to be touched yet. Happy showed up at a farm with some major injuries. His back leg was broken and had to be amputated, and he had a hole in his side, where he then developed a hernia. He has one more surgery to go through to fix the hernia, but he should be ready for a forever home by February 2007.. Happy was renamed because he was just so happy - even while he was on cage rest. He loves other cats and wins everyone over.
